Just this week, I decided I’d throw a little love at White Lightning in the form of a PML AS69RC Deep Transmission Pan.

https://www.yourcovers.com/transpan_11142.php

I ordered it Sunday night, and it arrived today.

I’m currently at 102,400 miles, but 120,000 miles will be here before ya know it!!!!

I already have a new transmission pan gasket.....I’ll be ordering a new sump filter within a week or two.

We burn it's twin brother, E-85. Love it in the older engines.(that's what we set them up for). Pretty car. Any mods?
Nahhhhhhh.....it’s bone stock, except for I did add factory remote start just last December. I did the hard parts install, and had a good dealer enable the sales code and program the fobiks. I now have four working fobiks.....just two with remote start.

Thanks! Very informative.

It was a serious question, oh well.
Well......you asked a question. I answered it.

Now....it appears as if the answer I provided was “NOT” the answer you anticipated or expected.

I had some extra coin. I wanted to increase my transmission fluid capacity by about 4 quarts. I’m coming up on my 120,000 mile service. It was in stock.

I can list more reasons......if you desire to read them. :p

When the truth is as hard to come by as it is nowadays, I imagine you took him by surprise. Most people who buy trinkets for their trucks attempt justify their purchase with some reference to dubious benefits. I’m sure he wasn’t expecting that answer.
To their credit the manufacturer only claims a 5 degree temp reduction from stock. That’s refreshing also.

Hey I think you know you like to mess with people. If ya just wanted it and bought it that's great.

I was just trying to figure what benefit it would have for YOU. I added a MagHytec to my 68RFE and the trans temps were consistently lower than others. Like I said the AISIN runs VERY cool in all conditions.

As usual on this forum there is the noise from the bleachers.

The only reason I bought it......was that I indeed simply wanted to.

No issues with transmission fluid temperatures.

No issues with the AS69RC.

For what I paid for the pan....I certainly could have purchased a lot more Mobil 3309 and performed 20k fluid changes instead of 30k fluid changes.

Did I mention I bought it for no other reason than I wanted to?
