It still seemed absurd for a pickup at the time. I remember my '87 Fordbinder was about 18K, and I was sitting there thinking I must have lost my mind as I wrote the check. My '05 doubled that, and my '19 doubled that again. Crazy stuff.A $2500.00 diesel and a total of $18k for everything. Just a tad difference to today's model. Bonus, no computers.
I was at Reedmans in Pa. 1967. As a young kid I was a whopping 13 eyeballing a 67 427 Vette. I believe it was $6500ish.It still seemed absurd for a pickup at the time. Guess I'll keep my $17k used '03, repaired frame and all... thankyouverymuch!
My 99 was $32k. The Wifes Sienna 05 was $35k. That one wound up being my life's worst move.
I wish I had the chance to go back and have the chance not buy quite a few vehicles over the years. It makes me sick to think of all the money that was spent.

That's it. As very young gear heads we would window shop to see the new iron coming out every year. I remember staring at a boss 429 stang and wondering how the heck would you change the spark plugsReedmans in Langhorne, right? I remember going to an Indy Car race at Langhorne Speedway as a kid. I think that became Oxford Valley Mall???
