Could you guys give me some idea of what my truck is worth. If I trade it in, I know they probably won't give me much. But what could I ask If I try to sell it on my own? I just had all the ball joints and transmission done with a suncoast torque conv. and valvebody. And I have just turned 200k.

Since it is a 12v you can get a whole lot more selling it yourself, most folks looking for a good used 12v want the later model interior, as well as that very desireable '98 12v. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Have you thought about how much you need to get out of it?

I haven't thought at all just how much I need to get. I have no idea how much the trucks worth. The trucks fine. Looks great. I am just tired of driving the same truck.

I would suggest you get an idea of fair market value by checking out ALL three of these resources -

www.nada.com

www.kbb.com

www.edmunds.com

From what I've noticed when using those guides is that they really don't reflect what is going on in the marketplace with respect to used Dodge CTDs. They also can vary on value quite a bit amongst the three of 'em. It sounds like you have a very nice truck, but the '98 12v aspect (relative to both interior and performance) is going to kick up the market value above what those guides have to say, IMO. At least it's a place to start. You might also check out the TDR classified to try to get an idea. If you look in places like www.autotrader.com you may be surprised at what is being asked for '98 12v 4x4s like yours.
