Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) About to get a Cummins...Finally!

Hello all --



I've been a lurker/member for quite some time now, but I'm about to get the rig/engine combo I've always wanted. (Dodge/Cummins). Well, to be honest, if Ford offered the Cummins in an F250 I'd be there



Anyhow, what are the major things to look for on the 24valves. I've read about the VP44 problem a bit... How do I test it?



Any and all suggestions on what to look/test for would be appreciated.



The ole' Ford is goin' up for sale... yeeehaww. Sorry, I've just wanted a cummins for years now!!

Glad you are finally making the leap. I too like the way Fords look but I just can't stomach their inferior powerplant.
