ABS/brake light

3 months ago I changed the brakes on the front of my 02. Shortly after my brake and abs light would flicker and turn off till it finally just stayed on. The only way you can read abs codes is with a DRB III computer and I WILL NOT bring my truck to the dodge dealership to have it checked. They want to charge me $85 to tell me whats wrong and I don't trust them to even tell me the truth about what is wrong with it. Now I know its not wheel speed sensors or the fluid the only thing I can think of is that when I cut my rotors they were barley within specs after I cut them, is it possible that rotors being below minimum specs would cause it to throw the ABS light and the brake light on? I don't how the system would know if they were or were not in specs but its the only thing I can think of that I could have done while changing the brakes. The lights started coming on the morning after I changed the brakes.
