Competition Added a "Neon" notch to my CTD's belt!

Coming home tonight I go into a stuck situation (3 cars in front of me, 2 in the lane beside of them).



Well the 3 in front of me started picking up speed, the 2nd car in the lane beside me slowed down as the one in front of him turned.



Now I'm cruising @ about 45 in 4th,as we near a curve I decided I didn't want to be behind anybody when it went down to 1 lane about a mile up. So I jumped in the right lane and hammered it a little, shift into 5th as I pass the middle car... then head towards the front.



I was coming up on the lead car in the fast lane as we rounded the curve on the last stretch before the road narrows. It was this little black plymouth neon with blue neon lights everywhere



Well the little guy see's me coming and decides to gas on it in the curve. I figured WTH nobody ever wants to race me, so I lean into her. Well he's just bound and determined to keep ahead of me so I put 'er on the floor. As we get closer to the end of the 2-lane I'm gaining on him and I just know I'm gonna get around him. As we near the merge lane I come around him 'n and wave bye bye!



Get on the brakes pretty good as I get into the single lane (as this road merge's it goes into a curve too!) look down at the speedo to see that I'm still go'n 60mph and slowing.



We must have been do'n upwards of 80 in a 45 zone



I know, I know I shouldn't have been racing that fast in a 45 zone, but no one wants to play with me on the hwy's. :{



I was evening trying to keep my foot out of it to see what mileage I could get on this tank, but the wasted fuel was well worth it just so I could at that little neon as a 6,000lbs bone stock truck just walked by him like he was sit'n still!:-lafOo.

GS- Son you need some bombing done!!! Imagine how cool it would look to see a "blue neon haze" radiating from the middle of your smoke cloud! Under the circumstances, a bomb job might have straightened the road Keep up the good work.

Yeah you have no idea how fun it would be to slow it back down in front of the neon to about 50 mph shift it into 5th and SMOKE him!! I really have too much fun smoking people.

I just ran one over instead of racing it, literally. Dipsnot parked it right behind me and the hitch hit the head before I felt it LOL.

Its a bit difficult to drive, focus the camara on passenger side mirror and snap a good picture..... heres me screwying around... intentionally smoking the street.

Kat, I had the rackstop out of my truck for about a month and 1/2. So I know what its like to engulf this little PITA behind you that's riding your bumper.



But my mileage went WAY SOUTH! So I put it back in. Mileage is back up and I'm happy again. I might take it back out after a while, but I was also doing a lot of interstate driving at the time and was wishing my mileage back at the time. :{

Kat - that pic is sweet. I did that very same thing to a mini van that tried to pass me in my neighborhood (20 mph zone) two days ago. The last time I saw the mini van he was stoped in the middle of the street waiting for the smoke to clear... it is realy cool what a Drag Comp on 5x5 and no boost can do to the idiots.

I raced a 5. 0 mustang GT from light to light about a year ago. . I beat him every time... he would not even look over at me after two lights. . Then he passed me in a 40 mph zone doing about 80... ... never saw him again.

I love smoking out tailgaters! My stacks put the smoke out perfectly in the windshield of the car behing me! You guys with the comp have it easy and can put it on 5/5. I have the blue box that delays fueling before boost, so I just disconected the map sensor wire and installed a seperate boost module to fool the ecm. Now I have the proper amount of smoke making the stacks look great! I have to be careful at night, as i have seen many headlights in the rear view completely disapear!!!

Eric, that's a great pic... It's my screen saver at work now! Yep I can do that now but it's harder for us auto guys. Mark K. and I were talking about that this weekend, the other day he was coming through OKC and some jerk was being an idiot Oklahoma driver so Mark goes to the inside lane pulling a trailer with a pickup on it and does one of those 6th gear 1200 RPM smoke shows and stops all the passers in the construction zone
