First new welder in 11 years. Hoping to wire in appropriate wire/ breaker tomorrow so I can tear up some 1/2" plate in a single pass Oo.

But but but how did you haul it home? :D

Thats a nice lookin machine Mr Hawes. Have fun with it!

The company I work for bought all new machines a few years ago and I was lucky enough to be able to buy one of their nicer used units. It's a Lincoln Invertec V350. It's a multi process machine capable of MIG TIG stick and arc gouging. I paid $1200 for nearly a $6k machine. It is a hand me down and a little beat up on the outside but everything functions as it should and it's a much nicer machine than I would have otherwise bought.

JR- those all in one machines are slick. I looked and looked for a used all in one but didn't have any luck finding one that didn't need a rebuild and the decent ones I found, the owners wanted almost what a new one cost.

I also looked at the new tech 'inverter' type all on one machines but those were mostly imports without a lot of history yet. The Thermal Arc 252i (now Tweco) was awesome but the DC limitations for the TIG torch didn't do anything for me.

Another mig I tried for a few days was the Miller 252. Welded great but to access the burn back, pre/post gas controls etc, I had to turn the machine off, pull and hold the trigger and then turn the machine back on to make changes. I'd burn a weld and then have to repeat the entire process again to make additional changes. That was a pain.

You can't go wrong with LE. Many of our units go 10+ years and get used several hours a day with no problems whatsoever.
I was looking at a model very similar to what you bought when I found out the shops old machines could be had. Truthfully I never would have bought a multi process unit any other way, theyre just too expensive for the amount I use it. Especially when I have access to a full blown fab shop 24/7, materials included :D

but its not miller blue...lol:-laf

I know right? This is my first red after only owning blue machines for roughly 20 years. I tried to buy blue but red just had a better product in this category of wire feed.
