Adding Sales Code - Help (Any Tech's)

I took the truck to the dealer for service and while I was there I wanted the sales code RDZ added for my newly installed radio switches. Problem is the dealer does not know how to add the RDZ sales code.



Can anyone help me get the steering wheel radio switches, sales code RDZ, added to my VIN so that I can take it back to the dealer for programming?

Go into tec connect then service then global claims system then vehicle options

This is what the dealer here is doing (see below) and is this the same as you describe as Tech Connect.



Log on to dealerconnect

Go to Global Claims System

Go to Vehicle Option screen click on the Service tab

Enter vehicle VIN

Add sales code(s) as a Dealer Installed Option.



If this is the same the RDZ code does not come up and I know some who have added the remote radio controls and the dealer added the RDZ and they were set. Did Dodge maybe delete the RDZ sales code as a dealer installed option? Just grabbing at straws otherwise it seems I wasted a lot of money on a steering wheel, harness and switches if I cannot get them activated.

I haven't run into that exact scenario so I can't be much help. But your dealer can contact star and maybe get an answer on why not using your vin,possibly the way your truck was origionally built.

Update

I called the dealer I bought the truck from and they called Dodge and got the code added for me. So now I just have to take it in and get programmed. When I go the the Dodge owner site I see it in there as a dealer installed option.
