I thought I read in here the other day about an aftermarket fuel tank sending unit from someone but can't find it or who was making it. Im about to replace mine for the THIRD TIME and don't want to go back to the dealers CRAP unit if I can get away from it. If anyone knows let me know,I don't want to become an expert om this procedure. Thanks

A friend of mine was at the dealer yesterday and he said the guy at the parts counter showed him a REVISED part that is supposed to fix the problems.

My fuel gauge hasn't worked for more than a year! I just fill up at about 600 miles (solo), and 350 (towing), but I too, would like to fix it one time, if I could find a dependable unit. . Hope that someone is working on this problem besides DC. .

QUESTION:
On my 99 as soon as I bought it, I started having the dreaded fuel gauge problems.

Has anyone else experienced the following?

If I NEVER add fuel to the tank after the pump first shuts off, I have NEVER had the gauge freeze high.

I tested this by topping off the tank a few times and my wife did not know any better a few times. Yep, gauge problems almost every time.

SO, I don't know if this will help anyone else but try it. I hate buying odd cents in fuel but I hated the gauge problem more.
