Well, the first major player component failed on me last night as a result of my BOMBing. The clutch slave cylinder blew up!

No warning at all. I was towing a 2000 lb trailer and I pulled off the interstate, came up to a stoplight, and POP! Clutch pedal went limp. I jumped out and under the truck for a quick looksee and saw fluid running off the cylinder.

You know,it's a good thing I disabled my clutch safety switch a while back. The only way to get the truck/trailer out of the intersection was to shut it off,put it into gear, and start it in 2nd gear to get it rolling. The thing that I really lucked out on,is this happened only three blocks away from my home,so I was able to creep home safely.
It seems I've jinxed myself wondering how long that plastic POS would last. My new HiPo clutch has a stiffer than stock pedal and I'm sure it may have played a part in the slave cylinders failure. The only way of getting new slave cylinder is with an entire assembly with a new clutch master cylinder. So it's going to be an expensive test to see how long the next one lasts.
