I will no longer be towing or hauling heavy loads so I want to soften the ride of my '00 3500. My first choice would be something that will go under the OEM seats, like what some commercial trucks have. Does anyone make them for our trucks or will I need to adapt something from another truck? I saw some posts about adapting air ride seats from other bigger medium duty trucks but that was years ago. What is available now?
Thanks!

Lower your tire air pressure according to an inflation chart. Install Rancho 9000 rear shocks and set at 1. Put a little weight in the bed or a heavy cap on it! Disconnect one end of the rear sway bar if it has one.

I have a set of Bostrom 710E Air Ride seats in my Ford, they are low profile and work great.

Theres a company that makes the air ride bases just for your truck. But it does cut down on head room. I have them in the 1987 F800 ford I was going to redo to pull our camper with. But with the air out of the seat I still only had 4" between my head and the roof of the cab. So getting rid of it and bought a different truck with air ride seats, and plenty of head room.

National does not offer an air ride base for 2nd Gen trucks AFAIK. They offer bases and console kits for 3rd gens, Kodiaks and a bunch of Fords.

There is (or was) a company that did, but I can't find it right now.

Mike.

Check this one out http://www.knoedler.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=29&virtuemart_category_id=9&Itemid=2 You will have to call the company to see if they have a mounting kit for your truck. But I know the National seats can be used. As I have seen 3 trucks with them in second Gen Dodge 2500's and 3500's. Owners may have built there own mounting kits. But they were in there.
These will work also, http://www.industrialseats.com/pgr.asp?pgrID=300&categoryID=23 You may have to buy new seats or upgrade yours to fit.
