NV5600 lock up?

Troubleshooting some hard starting, did a gravity test where you Jack the back of the truck up that abated the issue, that in conjunction with the fact that it matters how long I leave the truck parked means that there's a couple things worth trying first. Like the Cascade overflow valve before running through a couple of other tests having to do with commanded real pressure versus actual real pressure and how much fuel the injectors are returning.
I will certainly be glad to try a $40 fix before going into that especially due to the way that it's acting. However for this problem should it persist and in the future I wouldn't mind being able to scan some things.

A pretty smart guy over at Geno's there should be nominated for sainthood and putting up with me and all my questions put me on to a lot of this stuff as well as AlfaOBD. I am going to get it I was just curious for the third gen here does anybody have any dongle recommendations?
If bluetooth can handle it all great if not I'd love to hear some recommendations.

Bonus content would be maybe an illustration of the CP3 the location of this Cascade valve and maybe some general instructions I understand there's a ball bearing involved if there's any seating instructions or torque value or thread group that I need to observe, let's just say I love my tech data.

Thank you very much!

IIRC AlfaOBD recommends the OBDLinkMX+

What year truck? I understand that AlfaOBD has more capability for the 2006+ trucks.

2004.5 most of the time when filtering for parts I just call it a 2005 even the airdog electrical harness ended up having to be a 2005 because of the fuel tank configuration that happened to mid-year.
I wonder what happened in 2006. I thought all the way to 2007 the trucks were much more the same than different.

It only sometimes occurs to this guy that maybe he should go to the mega cab and possibly even a six-speed but I wouldn't want anything newer than that. You can see from the title I'm also toying with the idea of a four-door first gen. Not really a big fan of new trucks they look okay and I guess they perform okay it's just they have too many good ideas from The Way automotive engineering works these days.

No worky on a 04.5, tried it myself as I have Alfa for my '12 Durango.
And 04.5 is not an 05 - there are massive differences in the electrical system and the hardware of the two.

I understand with what you are saying. There have been certain situations that I have been remiss in not being selective 04 vs. 05 for my 04.5.

OK so you are saying that Alfa OBD will not work or the dongle? I'd like to stick with what will work in order to help.Amazon:
OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner

I'd also love some feedback on the illustration of where on the CP3 the Cascade valve is (an arrow that says "it is this thing stupid" is totally acceptable) Tq. Value / installation lube recommendation and any other instruction. If we have a tech ref from the book and if anyone wants to recommend a source for a service manual for the future I'd appreciate all of the above with my gratitude.

I thought it was what I am hitting with the green pointer but someone said that might not be it.
