I've been to two different tire shops looking for nice wheels for my truck... both places told me no one makes wheels to fit my truck... I can't believe this is true... I see some pretty nice wheels on some first gen trucks... I just cant seem to find any... Any ideas where I can get some ?!?

I bought Weld wheels for mine no problem. Mine are 16 x 8, with 3 5/8" back spacing. I could have got them with I think 4 1/2" back space, but they had the others in stock. The 4 1/2" is closest to the factory wheels.

Diesel darlin has some nice looking wheels on her truck. She said they were American Eagle. I think they look sweet. Ive American Racing on mine but They are a bit dated + I think I have a bent one. Mine are not rated very heavy, cant remember what it is but its stamped on the inside of my wheel.

Weld's are expensive, but the best in my opinion. They're forged aluminum vs. cast and are rated at 3200 pounds each. I had a set of cast wheels on my old truck and they were only rated at 1500 pounds. I've learned that cast wheels need to be polished more often and don't shine as bright as forged. I guess because the cast are more porous.

just go get yourself a set of the ford alcoa mid 90's 8 lug 16x7 wheels and be done with it. I bought my set for 200 with tires... they;re strong and lite

I love my eagle alloys, bout 100 bucks each, check my readers rigs, many other styles available. The fords are a good bargain if you can find em, they go on ebay quick plus shipping usually takes me out of the equation, i think they look good but don't like that large by huge center cap.

I'm in a similar situation but I'm not interested in looks. I have a D250 and I am looking for the lightest wheel period and it can be a "racing only" rim. The weld wheels seem to be the lightest by their site. I'm thinking maybe I should post this in the comp forum too. Any ideas.

I read on Summit Racing's site the other day that Eagle rims are rated at 3400#?, Mickey Thompson rims are rated at 3100#.
