KatDiesel & Mactruck. I already have 4-wheel disc brakes. But As I see it the weight is in favor of the 6-speed and as I called the dealer today & told him to have it ready this coming Saturday, it look like it's a done deal. I'll keep everyone who has been kind enough to respond posted to see if the dealer tries to re-deal @ the last min. Yes, Starting over is somewhat of a pain, but I like to tinker in my garage anyway. :)

Your signature/profile said only 2001..... with the 4 wheel disc brakes coming in the middle of the 2001 model year we refer to the 4 disc trucks as 2001. 5 ... . if you would change your signature/profile to reflect that it might save some confusion, or help someone down the road.

Oh no - the auto manual debate again.......

It all depends on where you drive. i. e. city/country: If you can get by without the thrill of leaving someone in your tracks at a stoplight - and I don't mean in 1st/2nd gear: Also do you ever have somebody sit in the middle? Do you need a long bed - can you get by with the longer turning radius? Sounds like you may be a candidate for leasing - God I hope I didn't say that. Also - how sesure is the position with the company - today I'm not sure we really know!

Sounds like you love your current rig.

Id have a hard time going for it also, but it sounds like a good opportunity to trade UP foir a very reasonable deal.

Keep in mind, alot of people use the 3 year strategy, to keep current on their vehicle.

Katdiesel. My truck was built in November 2000. I bought it Feb 8, 2001. I thought that was early enough to call it a 2001. I'll wait unitl Saturday then change the whole thing to a 2002:D
