Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Ankle Holster

Anyone here actually use an ankle holster ?. I came across this one, looks like it may be comfortable as long as it does not rub your leg raw. Any Opinions or recommendations ?.

Can't say I've ever used one, I wear work boots more than anything else so never really considered one. I prefer the inner belt holsters.

I had a Bianchi/safariland sewn to the inside of my C-boy Boots & when I use the Prosthetic leg simulator with dress pants and shoes I use the same holster the way it comes from the factory.

The biggest problem I see with ankle holsters is if you need to draw your weapon from other than a seated position, you are putting yourself in an awkward, vulnerable position. I use IWB at either 3:30 - 4:00 o'clock or AIWB. Depending on size of weapon.

Where I would use one is places that state weapons cannot be visible like some RV parks etc. My 40 cal. Glock is kind of hard to conceal with my typical attire of T-Shirt and jeans. I would rather have something than nothing at all.

Yep. I went from a 38 special, to a compact 45 and now all I carry is a Sig P238 simply because it can be cancelled anywhere and it light weight. I practice with it a lot and its accurate

I carry a Glock43 at 3:30 - 4:00 o'clock. Lately, I've been using a Bravo Concealment IWB. I have a cheap hybrid from Remora that is very comfortable. On Glocktalk forums, there are a lot of discussions on holsters. Leather, kydex, hybrids etc. For a cheap holster, a Blackhawk Klipt works well. Vedder holsters have a large following. Foxx holsters have some nice hybrids as do Hidden Hybrid. Concealment Express on Amazon has been popular. Do some research on the forums, try to find a review from someone with your same body shape and carry style. Hopefully, you won't end up with a drawer full of extra holsters like a lot of us have done.

For summer time I wear shorts & a sloppy Tee. I use a Pocket holster for carry of anything from my 44-3 S&W to my S&W 642 without being obvious
