If you go GM, you can keep your outer axle shafts... if you go with a Ford one, you'll have to change your outer spindle and axle shafts. Ford's are longer.

Quad 4x4 has them, but I'm not sure of pricing. They're usually higher'n Willie Nelson in an elevator, but usually have it and will stand behind it. Out of curiosity, I looked on Ebay, and there are several sets there for less than $400..... The boneyards will have them, but be careful, as the internally splined hub is from 90.5 to 93, and the outer drilled hub (with eight bolts, like your rear end) is from 90.5 and earlier, which uses they Selectro locking hub. I guess if it works, do you care?

I have sooo much to learn, sometimes I wonder if you guys are speaking Japanese!! HEHE! I really like the "higher'n Willie Nelson in an elevator" Might borrow that one.. Thanks for all the info, I'm gonna have to get to looking for the hubs I need for the single wheel setup, and pray the weather starts warming up!!

The single wheel hubs are easy to find, I had a hard time getting rid of the set I had, that being said a believe a friend of mine has a set of front hubs that will match the wheel bolt pattern of your rear end, but they do need the old type selectro lockers, they look like this. but are for single wheels and not dulls

My truck is a dully the single wheel hubs have the wheel flange set back closer to the brake rotor, but it dosent matter I had a brain fart for some reason was thinking you had a rear off a 1990 truck, if you had a 91 or new rear you don't want those front hubs, you want the newer type with the warn type lockers.

Boyce Equipment in Ogden, Ut might have some GM or dodge ones sitting around , but really the adapters do work in a pinch

... except the single wheel hubs are available, still.... Ever tried to find a set of 4wd dually hubs? What do you want for them? I may be interested......

I actually found a guy that has the hubs I need, and he needs the dually hubs.. So this may work out well..

OH, that's good! I've been hesitant to respond, as I've been looking for the set I have... I converted a 92 two years ago, when we put the running gear under an '85 Crew dually.... I haven't located them yet... I "should" have two sets, but have not located either, yet. I also converted my '93 to a dually in '01, so those hubs should be around here somewhere...

Let me know if it doesn't work out for you, as I may find one of mine in the meantime....

If you find yours let me know what you want for them.. Might pick them up for the future.. :D

Wellll, if it comes to that, I'm gonna want a pretty penny for 'em... obviously... I may need 'em some day, too.... but I might trade you for your dually ones if you can can't find any other alternatives...

Ok so I'm learning more and more in the time I spend reading through some of these forums.. As for the stock plastic fuel lines, is it better to go ahead and replace them while I have the body off?? Or are they pretty reliable??

I've found the factory black lines to be pretty reliable... the only problems I see come from runnning over something or bending the heck out of 'em doing work on the truck, and then the O-rings they use to seal them at the quick disconnects. They'll dry out and break, leaking a miniscule amount of air, and be hell to find the problem.....

you cant replace them , the only thing you can do is change the ends with a section of hose thats a real ***** to do by heating the hose and they cost around $30 just for the ends that may still leak along with the splice

You can't replace the O-rings? Hmm.... I've done it several times... kinda a PITA, but it can be done.... I sourced them from Orielly's.... took out the old ones and matched 'em up to some good nitrile, chemical resistant O-rings.... I think Dorman has a replacement quick connect kit available.....
