Another 1st Gen rebuild

My buddy has a 93 W350 and after blowing up the Dana 70 twice we put an 80 in there. We tried to see if the rims would fit on the front but as already stated NO. We used a 1/4 spacer for the rear and "made" it fit the old style rims so he wouldn't have to carry two spares. He rotates his tires every 10k kms ( about 6k miles ). David

other then the pretty hub caps you don't really gain anything by going to the 17in wheels, I looked at doing the same thing with my truck and the wheels off my dads 04, and with your 1st gen wheels with 235/80 R16 tires there is not enough height difference between the 16 and 17in. tires to be worth the work to fit the wheels.

So while sitting around playing on Craigslist, I found this clean looking 91 ext. cab. Talked to the guy, and now we are doing a cab swap, he wants my regular cab, I get a solid extended cab .. Now I don't have to worry about rotten floors and cab mounts!!Oo.

OK, So time got away from me, and this project is still in pieces in the yard. This is the year!! I moved the frame up where I can get to it, and started knocking the spring bushing out. I am going to get it done this Year!
