I just received my license plates and went to put them on today. I think I hurt something laughing so hard when I actually saw/touched the rear license plate holder. I can't beleive that plastic junk (what, did that cost all of $0. 15 to make?) is what they came up with for a $35K truck! I ended up breaking out the Makita and drilling some top holes for the plate in "metal" (hey, remember that material guys?!). I looked over at my other half's new little Volvo and her license plate is on there like armor! Four real bolts attached to a metal frame. Just when I thought it couldn't get much worse, I walked around to the front license plate holder..... #ad

... .

Oh well... you know it's a good machine if that's all I'm complaining about! #ad

The front license bracket was just as cheap and flimsy on my truck. A couple of weeks ago,I was sitting at an intersection at the bottom af a hill. While I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green,I must have released enough pressure off the brake pedal that I rolled into the car in front of me... (clunk) oops! The guy got out of his car to see if I damaged anything, and for some reason,he started cracking up. He picked up my license plate braket off the ground that fell off,got back in his little green Pontiac and left. Not a scratch on his car. So much for the indestructable battering Ram!

HEY SCOOBY--Did you ever learn to "live" with the freeway "HOP" out there?? Or did you find some suspension "goodies" to negate it? After running those roads for 30 years, I quit looking for a "cure". Let us know if you found a cure. --Ron #ad

Hay carramba, Frijole!

Yes and No. I haven't changed anything to the suspension yet other than play with the air pressure. Currently my daily commute doesn't involve any freeway driving so I don't really think about it until I go somewhere other than work! I'm looking to get a shell, which may add some weight - dunno if that'll help much.

I'll let you know if I change anything... right now I'm busy with the engine, guages, transmission and exhaust!
