Just thought I would introduce myself here, been lurking for a while. Finally bit the bullet and paid the money, way too much information here to pass up.

Truck is a 93 W250 CTD with 230K on it and just starting its life with me. My dad bought in new, and I finally convinced him to sell it in Sept, 4 days later I went wheeling up at Big Bear (John Bull Trail), and put the first dent in the bed.

:D

Plans for the future include building bumpers, Rockrails, skidplates, Skyjacker 2. 5" front springs and good shocks, exhaust, gauges, and BHAF... . For now at least that is the plan.

Happy to be on board, and if anyone is down here on the Oxnard Plain maybe we can get together to BS or work or something.

Hey there... . welcome to the ranch..... Oh... and ahhhh...

"... ... and put the first dent in the bed... ... "

That's a 5 RWHP penalty... . I don't know about you new guys... ;):D

I guess you need to use up your complimentary "gimme" on this one... .

Welcome home... .

Pastor Bob... . :D

Dreaming is a cool thing, I get most of my wild ideas and plans out of the system on my 66 CJ5, it ended up with spring over rear and coils up front after 4 different suspensions in a year and a half. The goal with the truck is to keep it a daily driver, but "improve" it for desert exploration, slap a pop up on the back, and tow the Jeep some day. You know that ever elusive do everything well setup.

Planning right now to use the Bilstein 5150s in 12 inch travel and move the upper mounts to make them fit, should be plenty of shock for my use, since I know that my 7000 lb truck doesn't like to catch air.

Also would like to run the 9. 00R16 Michelin ZXL (37/9) tires when the Cooper ATs wear out some day, trimming required though. Ah future plans are great aren't they, have a feeling they will change after the wedding and honeymoon in the fall, thats ok by me though. :D

Here is a link that should let you see the truck, since I haven't gotten the photo album to believe I am an actual member yet.....

Hey, welcome aboard. Surprised the Pastor didnt warn you about it, but watch out for the BOMB bug. Getting bit makes for lots of fun, and you get to bond with your pickup, but IT IS EXPENSIVE, and I have found no cure for it. Just have to feed the greedy parasite and keep it calm and happy. You have a transmission you get to BOMB as you go, too. I just have to wait for mine to crap out and replace it with a 7 speed.

Welcome to the TDR.

The $35 membership is the cheapest part. If you want to play you will have to pay for the BOMBS.

In the last 10 years I have only seen a handfull of matching trucks, maybe 6 or 7, nice to know another one is out there. My friends give me a hard time about my "old man" paint job :D

I am trying to not Bomb for a while, want to keep the transmission in one piece and don't feel like spending the big bucks on a rebuild. Though I woudl like the tighter converter and all the goodies that go with a good rebuild.

Loosing 5 RWHP already, man no wonder my truck feels so slow now, oh well they probably won't be the only ones I loose, at least I know where these went. Thanks for the welcome Pastor, feels more like home already.

Hey! Some people consider this the first gen forum, some the "funny farm", some the "short bus. "... . but really, we're a family! :D

You're going to have a lot of fun here, and no doubt this place will cost you a lot of money! :D
