A friend shared a story with me that I just had to pass along.



About a week or two ago on I-77 in SC near Charlotte, a woman was blasting up the left lane at a high rate of speed. As traffic started to thicken, there was a maroon sedan in the fast lane and not being a patient person, decided to give the ol' 'chrome horn' to the offending vehicle that was slowing her down. She bumped the back of the car three times before it finally sped up and let her over... . (here's the best part)

The unmarked SC Highway Patrol cruiser that she had just rammed three times pulled in behind her and flipped on all the blue lights. :-laf I swear that woman must have had big ol' brass ones to pull that stunt, but the story doesn't end there.



The barber shop where my friend gets his hair cut is where about 90% of the police officers in the tri-county area go to get their hair cut too. This woman had the cajones to walk in there and ask the barber if he could get a ticket fixed for her...



I hope they lock her a$$ up and throw away the key...

I've said it before and i'll say it again... dad gum women drivers. Now to qualify that one... I'm refering to the women that drive the little cars who, even in an empty parking lot, couldn't hope to be able to drive a vehicle safely, especially one of our rigs.

Here is one that I missed by about ten minutes the other day. The bridge is curved and has big wide metal expansion joints that let your tire slide when your moving, I do about 40 on it the guy was supposedly doing about 90.



ALBANY - A motorcycle ride ended tragically Thursday when a man lost control of his bike and was thrown to his death, falling between 100 and 150 feet from the Dunn Memorial Bridge.





Det. James Miller of the Albany Police Department described the rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene, only as a 27-year-old white male.

The accident occurred around 7:15 p. m. when the rider, who was headed eastbound on the bridge, lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected from the bike over the side of the bridge.

Miller said the victim hit the portion of Interstate 787 north that passes under the bridge, then landed in a weedy area to the left of the I-787 on-ramp just north of the entrance to the USS Slater docking area.

The drop from the Dunn Memorial Bridge is estimated between 100 and 150 feet. Miller said the motorcycle remained on the bridge and the rider's helmet flew off when he hit the I-787 underpass.

A witness driving in front of the motorcycle saw the event unfold in his rearview mirror, said Miller. As of 8 p. m. Thursday, speed was the only known cause for the accident.

Another Albany Police Officer on the scene, Traffic Safety Inv. William Wilson, said the rider suffered major injuries, internally and externally.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

So what's wrong with women drivers? I own a new 3500 and 3 hum vees, I'm also a diesel mechanic that works on Big Rigs. Some of us are quite good drivers, especally off roading!!!



So be careful when you start bashing women drivers, Some of us own big rigs that like to run over little cars, and guys who make fun of us!!!:-{}

So far I haven't seen a guy trying to put on makeup, talk on teh cell phone and eat breakfast at the same time while driving. Then again, I don't go to P-town, so the makeup thing on a guy is possible.



It doesn't matter what gender, or ethnic background. There are horrible drivers from all walks of life. Every one should have to take a driving course before they can start driving. Peolple pay thousands of dollars for ski lessons, golf lessons, and every other type of lesson, but very few take driving lessons. Now I'm not talking about these lame-ass driving instruction schools, I'm talkking about a real course such as Bondurandt, or other realistic course.



A couple of years back I took a course for winter driving. Some of the things that we were tought just went totally opposite of what one would imaging to do, but it worked. One other interesting fact was that a the day, I didn't feel the need to go flying around too test out the new found skills.



Yep, I'm on the pedastal right now because this morning some richard-cranium thought it would be a good idea to use their Volvo to go barreling past a stopped schoold bus.

There ought to be a law ALLOWING you to pound an IDIOT out of the left lane with your bumper if they will not move over. About the third time they go rolling down the median and have to buy a new car they would cut the BS!!!!! It is ridiculous to allow these boneheads to endanger everyone else when they try to dictate the speed of traffic. Who convinces these people that they are SOOO much more important than everyone else that they can obstruct traffic? As sure as the sun rising in the morning someone is going to go whipping around and jam their way through, this is how most freeway accidents I have seen have been caused. The people speeding are not causing accidents running 80 down the road until some self-appointed MORON decides that is too fast. That is what we pay police for.



Driving in the left lane should be ILLEGAL. It is for PASSING!!! Driving in the left lane below the speed of traffic is RECKLESS and DANGEROUS, yet do you ever hear of someone getting a ticket for that?



I say cut them off, honk the horn, smoke 'em out, beat them senseless if given the opportunity and generally make clear that they MUST drive with courtesy toward others.

Signs on Texas freeways and interstates used to read Slower Traffic Keep Right. As you say, some people just didn't get the idea and thought they could run 65 in a 70 or 75 zone in the left lane all day - "It's smoother, doncha know! "



We're now going through a sign changeout program. The new signs read Left Lane for Passing Only. I guess we'll see if that helps.



Personally, I think "Officer, the dumb SOB just needed killin'!" ought to be grounds for justifiable homicide.

i prefer passing on the left side, but if some cheeze hole is putting along at a slow speed there, i'll pass on the right... . what is interesting to see is when a pack of cars all pass someone [who is going well under the speed limit] in the right lane, and the slow driver still doesn't get it and keeps in the left lane... or the favorite thing for stupid drivers up here to do, is on our major highways, we have like 3 to 5 lanes in width. , the drivers as soon as they can, cut across all the lanes of traffic to get to the fast lane, then accelarate to speed, and stay there until like 50meters before their exit, and cut across at like a 90° angle to the off ramp... . that and no turn signal usage...



not using turn signals should be a demarrit point offence... that'll teach em to use em... #@$%!

I used to try really hard to not group women drivers together, but, they are usually the ones doing "non-aggressive" and passive crimes. Driving the left lane, turning without blinker, random stopping, and acelerating, disregarding stop sign, and not being observant enough to let people merge, or to avoid driving directly into a situation with a high possibility of an accident.



Where, Males tend to be much more aggresive in their behavior, turning around in the median, weaving in/out of traffic to get ahead, quick acceleration, and hard headedness to not let people merge, and staring at beautifull bad women drivers



Now, HummerChick,, I'm not putting you into the bad women drivers, but it seems like everytime I turn around, and I see a curb getting run over, or somebody trying to go down the wrong way of a one way, it's a women driver.



So for now, I'm cautious of a women driver, and keep my distance, until she proves her capabilities of a good driver, which, obviously you have. (besides,, What other girl would drive over her ex's car with her hummer? )

Or you go around them and a few miles up The road they go flying past you and another few miles up the road they are holding up traffic again?I think a laser guided missile would be in order!

And the problem with this, is a lot of times, they CAN'T get over, because of all the cars passing on the right. Seen that way too many times. The problem is people don't need to be weaving in and out of traffic just to get one more car length ahead. If people would get the lane they want, roll with the traffic, and stay there, traffic would be much smoother. I'm one of those who travels in the fast lane, most of the time on the capitol beltway. 2 reasons:



1. I only have to worry about watching one lane.

2. I'm usually doing 10-15 over the limit. As far as I'm concerned, if you want to pass on the right, go ahead. With that amount of traffic, you shouldn't be running that fast anyway. If I don't feel like doing 10-15 over, I don't run in the fast lane. The key here is running at the same speed as traffic.



And yes, I've seen way too many idiots, including bikes, running 90-100 mph, or faster, and weaving in and out of traffic.

Here here! I'll move over for anyone who wants to go down the road faster than me. But if there's a car in front of me, and another in front of him, and so forth for as far as the eye can see, then the SOB behind me that wants through me isn't going to get anything by getting around me, and he can just stay there.



But that isn't good enough for these buttheads is it? They got to shoehorn themselves into the car length between me and the car ahead. It's getting so they start pulling over before they even clear my front bumper... they're counting on me slamming on the brakes. They really don't get there any sooner. They're just going to get us all killed... and ****** off in the meantime.

Had one of those experiences this morning. Little ricer shoehorned his way in between my bumper and the car in front of me. Then gives me a spike with brakes, the whole time I'm think how nice a new DOR bumper would look after sticking my stock one up his _ _ _. To boot, he starts having an epileptic seizure with his finger and mouthing off in his rear view mirror. I've seen his guy a bunch of times and he gets off at the same exit I do. So he manages to get around a few more cars and disappears. Well who do think I pull up next to at the light at the off ramp. Yep you guessed it, put the window down, turned the truck off (make sure he could hear me loud and clear) and asked if he would like to repeat himself and tell me why I'm number one. Well the little puke put it "R" and backup on to the median and took off down the shoulder of the road, then made a right turn, end of story. I'll probably see him on my way home tonight, Can wait!

If you think changing signs out is going to help Rusty I have some land under the Galveston Causeway I sell ya . Lets see now , just how many drivers slow down for a work zone ????? or just how many drives on any greater Houston freeway ( or any state road in the Houston area ) drive the posted speed limit ????? I wont even get into red lights or stop signs . I have said a many a time over and over again I have waisted a many a tax dollar putting up signs that most people pay no attention at all too . Now what I like is when someone is going eighty mph in the fast lane and some fool behind that driver is p----- off because the fool thinks the driver in front of him should get over because he is running ninety mph .
