I have a couple of questions regarding a kill switch on my lift pump.

Will I need to put a relay or is the amperage low enough to just use a toggle switch?

Would I toast my vp-44 if my wife got in the truck ,started it and got up to speed, not realizing the pump is off, even though I got a fuel pressure gauge which she has no clue what it does.

I thought about the starter soilenoid switch, but thought they could jump that with a screw driver if they wanted the truck that bad.

I had a friend a few years ago that ran a wire from the ignition harness and into ash tray... ..... couldnt start the truck without pushing in cigarette lighter. I thought it was pretty clever.

i would not put a cut off on the lift pump, just asking for your own oops to fry the VP-44. Maybe a electric controled valve would be better inline on the fuel line. flip a switch and the valve opens or closes, that way, it may start, but only run for a sec or two.

i have heard of guys putting a switch inline with the clutch position sensor to function as an anti theft switch (harness is also there on an auto)
