I have an early 2004 Ram (build date 11/03) with a no start issue. It starts and stalls. Scanner says its anti-theft fuel cut off. Trouble is this truck doesn't have VTSS or a chip key. Owner had it towed in to my shop. Some one has replaced the PDC with an aftermarket piece now it thinks it has anti-theft. Anyone seen this before? I have with a passenger car with swapping PCM's between 2 similar cars

I'm sure you can with aftermarket controllers, but this is a stock truck. I am a dealership tech, been one for 40 years. On all our factory PCM once you enable VTSS it's ther for the duration. I think some body fooling around with used computers has enabled the VTSS, with no module or door switch to turn it off

I think your only option is to replace any module that has the VTSS info in it, or add the required modules to complete the install of the wrong module.
