While cruising the interstate into a strong headwind with periods of rain, I noticed a wet spot under my truck after stopping. The leak was coming from a stub pipe on the lower passenger side firewall. it stopped and i continued driving with no further incidence. my coolant level was normal when i checked it. Gauges showed normal operating temps for the engine temp & trans. I did get a smell of antifreeze every now & then prior to stopping. could it have just been rain getting in there? Or is there a prob brewing? Thanks for any help.

That little "stub pipe" is the drain line for the evaporator and heater core box.

If it's leaking coolant from there, then you can bet your heater core is leaking. It will only get worse.

If it's leaking clean water, then that's normal.
