Is there any difference in 81-93 Dodge tailgates?

I am looking at injectors for my dad's 92. It seems that the same injector will make a bigger difference in the 92-93 intercooled than the 89-91 non-intercooled? Would i see a noticable gain by just putting a stock set of 89-91 injectors into his 92? Anyone know the differences?

Thanks,

Dave

The stock non-intercooled injectors are 9mm tipped, the stock intercooled injector is 7mm tipped. So no the nonic injector tips are too big. Your right about the non-ic injectors they are bigger. Ive ran a few different injectors. For the price PODs are the best but can be sloppy. What kind of power is he looking for?

Funny you ask, he isn't looking for any power :-laf It's me that's always wanting to turn something up. Dad likes the truck just the way it is. He refuses to let me put the 366 spring in it, he is sure it will blow the head gasket or tear something up. My dad is more mudflaps and towing mirrors :-laf He's the guy that always shows up to tow me home when i've broken mine :D

Did you guys get that SPS on your dad's truck yet? he like it?

Dave

Put in a set of 190's. That will make both of you happy. He will get better fuel mileage, and you will get more power.

Flathead6 on here put some in, he's very happy with them.

If he is a true mudflaps and towing mirrors kind guy then he wont have to worry about tearing anything up, they usually drive kinda ssslllooowww.Ill second the 190's, heard nothin but good about em.

Dad loves the SPS. You know how it goes, slow to 10psi, BAM 45psi. He has to becareful with the weight he's pulling. That sudden hit can be hard on the NV at 15 ton.
