Any gamers out there

Well the weather has been kinda cold and nasty for the past couple of weeks and I was gettin' kinda bored. I used to be a heavy gamer ever since the Atari days, but lifestyle has had me out of it for about 6 years. I've bought my son about every game system known, but never picked a controller up.



Last year I started keeping track of the XBox and finally bought one after playing the PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube. I couldn't believe how far they've came with graphics and such.



As an ex-Marine I've gotten a kick out of the game "Halo" that I got with the XBox. This game has really sucked me in like no other and now the wife is givin' me hell about the amount of time I spend on it. You get to use some serious weapons and drive vehicles like a 4x4 Warthog and Tanks. You can even steal and use enemy weapons and their vehicles. You Military guys will love this game. My Dad has gotten hooked on it and comes over to my house to play it quite often. It's funny watching an elder become a kid again.



So if you've been bored this winter and need a "pick me up" go ahead and get one with "Halo". It'll make you go OOOHH RAAHH!!

Wowzy, a friend of mine has the Xbox with Halo, like you, say's it really is great. I just upgraded to a PS2. Decided to stick with the Sony as I have quite a few games, ah, you know, for the kids and the PS2 will still run the older titles. You are right about the graphics, these new systems are incredible to compared us that had Atari as kids. Hopefully, Halo will be out for the PS2 someday. Just letting you know that you are not alone, still alot of kid left in me, just ask my wife, I get the evil stares if I play the games too often as well .

Still got the original PS-waiting for a few more months for the PS2 to come down in price before I buy one. I'm in the same boat as Bigsaint-way too many PS games to just throw them away... I haven't played for quite a while now-usually when we have some buddies over the PS comes out with PGA Tour '98... . you can play 4 player and it's usually good for some laughs! I used to run NASCAR '99 and 2000 all the time-but a lot of the luster went out of it for me when The Intimidator passed on... I used to play as the 3 all the time. In fact I don't think I've played it in the year since...



Resident Evil 2 and Metal Gear Solid are both pretty good ones too. Got Syphon Filter as well-but it's way out of my league. Good excuse to spend more time on them I guess!

I've had my Playstation 2 for about a year now, love it. I bought it to use as a DVD player in my bedroom, as well as play games. I only have bout 10 games, but the ones I play the most are Madden 2002 football and Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Turismo III.

When I sit on the crapper, I play solitaire on a handheld device made by Radica: . It's addictive and Mrs Doc gets POed at me for letting my hemorrhoids hang out for so long.

My best friend bought a Playstation2 back in the summer and I was gonna get one the same day, but we both agreed that it would be less expensive for both of us if I waited and got an XBox and then we could swap systems regularly. Although we both agree that the XBox has better graphics, the PS2 has got better titles out right now.



This weekend we'll be playing Grand Theft Auto3. I 'bout had to jerk a knot in him to buy it. He wanted to wait, but stores are pulling it off the shelfs so fast for content, the word is that it's probably gonna be banned and not make it to the XBox.

I love it, although I must admit all I have been playing lately is Madden 2002. Grand Theft Auto 3 is a blast tho, you can take out alot of frustrations running over people, shooting people, or just beating them down with a bat.



I found a cheat that lets you get a tank... ... ... and let me tell you thats hilarious... ... . (almost indestructable).

I went to a friend's house in Tx for new years and bought Madden 2002 for his kids for xmas. That game rocks.



I like PC games better. I travel a lot and toting an xbox or PS2 around isn't exactly practical. Besides PC games are cheaper and more involved thought they aren't as 'seat of the pants' as some of the console games.



Try midtown madness2, mechwarrior4, Command and conquer/red alert2. three really good PC games.

PS2, XBox, Gamecube..Oh my....

You guys are lucky. I am still sitting here playing 007 on my N64, and Sonic on my Dreamcast. I would really like a PS2 with Grand Turismo III. I loved the first one, and have seen this one, but I think I would like a set of gauges for my truck first. Oh well!



So try computer games. Well my computer is only a 133Pentium so it is a little slow for most games. Just have to wait because my roomate is talking about getting a PS2.
