Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Any Suggestions? Codes P0216, P1693

I got the truck back today with a new lift pump in the tank and a new wiring harness for the lift pump and a new fuel filter ($92. 00). It did the dead pedal thing on the way home 4 times, but the service department was closed. I did test drive an 06 Cummins, but I still really like my truck (when it runs). I will keep playing their game on Friday.

Well the truck I put the VP-44 runs well now but cranks excessive when it starts cold. We also put on a new lift pump and filter. It starts fine when warm but cranks for a while when cold? Any suggestions? Thanks

truck back again

I took the truck back in again, and they put on a new turbo. They said it was bad and the wastegate was trashed (I wish I could have seen it). The new turbo made it worse. It is back in the shop, and the mechanic is stumped. I told him I thought it might be the injection pump, but he didn't think it could be since it comes and goes. I still think it could be. I guess we will see sometime this week.
