Well here is the story I have had my new 04. 5 into the shop 4 times since I have owned it 2 months. The local dealer had it to do the reflash and couldnt figure out how to do it, so i went back and they made it worse than before I took it in there, now i had white smoke and rough idle at start up this is a 70 degrees. so i took it back and they checked it out again and reflashed again. Now i had a big loss in power and still all the existing conditions of hesitation with trailer, white smoke and rough idle start up and poor mileage. So i took it to dealer i purchased it from 160 miles away and they kept it 2 days and contacted star and suggested a #6 injector. But had to order the part, well this was 3 weeks ago and still no injector and no idea when it will be in. I have called Dodge customer service and they have been no help really and dealer isnt much help either. I want to contact a distrect rep but according to dodge there is no way to. Is this true? Basically this truck is what keeps my business running to the 4 times its been in the shop already are needless to say a pain and I lose a lot of money. Any ideas on how to get some action done? sorry for the long post

I had a GM buyback in '95 I was told that once the case file get's to a certain size it get's passed to the area rep. I just kept calling the 800 number ever day reporting problems. Could be different for Dodge though.

About twenty years ago I had a warrenty issue my service manager agreed with me but the area rep did not. The service manager called me and gave me the name and number of the area reps supervisor and told me not to tell where I got the number. I made the call and within 20 minutes the service manager called me back and told me that Dodge was going to fix my truck to my satisfaction.

And they did.

Call your dealer get a name and # of a real person at the area office it may get you results.

Try (800) 992-1997. They may not give you the name of the person but at leat you will be into Diamler Chrysler and talking to someone!

If you get some one who will work with you.

PLEASE let me know.

going into 3rd year now, after initial sale no one @ DC cares.

No follow up after sale.

Sent 6 page letter with comments/suggestions,and asked for several simple things.

( exchange my expensive service/parts books (ordered with truck) for the correct model/year. )

Had 1 reply in that time " sorry we let you down"

After unresolved transmission problems in several cars.

We are replacing the 3rd one next week.

I would like to tell DC " Sorry we get better treatment from the competion. "

Yeah I have already contacted Chrysler via the 800 number and they wont give me any help and say I need to contact the dealer to get ahold of the rep but they are absolutely no help I have called 4 times and talked to diffrent people including the service manager and I dont even get a return call from him. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. I expect it from the dealers but why chrysler? this is a approved fix that needs to be done not like Im complaining about dust on my engine. So Im kinda at a loss and was wondering if others have had this problem and what they did. Its been in 4 times for the same problem and Ive developed 2 other small problems so I guess if there is no resolution soon its going to have to be lemon law time, although I hate to do that. Thanks for the info. . Adam

Let me tell you about Chrysler, A couple years ago my wife bought a new car from Chrysler, the trany went out then it went out agean then it went out agean they fixed it each time charging a little money each time. My wife went to the dealer explaned she was not happy with the charges and what were they going to do about it? They said nothing... My wife being a teacher told them they were going to learn a very good lesson. She took them to court The judge being a fair person asked Chrysler what there good will was worth? They stated O about 30%, at that point I knew she won her case. She did She took her award and has not delt with Chrysler to this day.

What dealer are you working with? I asked a buddy about it that lives in Tucson, and he seemed to think the big dodge dealer there does a pretty good job. In fact he said they have one or more of the heavy diesel franchises also.

You tell the SERVICE MANAGER of the dealer YOU want a APPIONTMENT with the area rep. Eaither in his dealer or another. They are suppose to SET the appointment up!Thats how it works. Also if problems started after a reflash see if a new ECM can be installed. Oo.

I had the truck at Bill Breck 3 times which is the local dealer and after they reflashed it and it was worse I took it to Lou Grubb in Phoenix. Well I finally got some answers the injector is supposed to be here by the 20th for install key word being SUPPOSED because it was supposed to be here and installed 2 weeks ago. Any how this will be the 5th time in and 2 dealers I hope it takes care of it. But they act like the service managers and regional reps are celebrities and you have to be someone to even talk to them.
