Im willing to bet that demand in the US is going to take a big hit. What will happen then is that big oil, in order to keep high profits, will just ramp prices up even more (because we're not buying as much)

Friday 3/15/08 it went to 399. 9 right above the house. East Coast 7 miles up the road is 374. 9. Exxon/Mobile will only make $40,000,000,000. 00 in profit, next quarter,so I guess they are really hurting. (pun)

Got the joy of paying $4. 07gal down by Pagosa Springs CO Friday night. Didnt have enough to get to Durango otherwise I would have waited. Which wouldnt have mattered that much as it was 3. 99 there.

Had an ATV trip planned last week and usually tow my trailer with my truck and rent a cabin there in WVA. Did the math on a 500 mile roundtrip with my truck averaging 13mpg and my motorhome gasser averaging 7mpg pulling same trailer plus subtracting lodging and for the 1st time since going on these trips, it was cheaper to take a huge gas RV vs. a diesel pickup. This nation is out of control!!!I have to reconsider ATVing now as it is getting too expensive to ride anymore..... driving on or off road!!!

Home heating oil is looking better and better. :-laf

Don't count on it. Ignoring the heavy fine when I last talked to Steve st Bretthauer oil in December or January I was quoted . 08 more than I could buy diesel for. I have been running ciesel in my heater because of that. I don't understand it, heating oil should be at least . 24 than on road diesel.

Unfortunately I believe this is the truth.

I still have never forgotten my early experience in southern California in the early 80s. During that energy crisis I had just started paying electric bills and there was a big push to conserve energy with television commercials and all. Within a year of my first electric bill I got the nice little notice from Southern California Edison informing all customers that they were petitioning the PUC to raise rates. By law they have to disclose the reason for the desired increase.

The reason given?

Because of conservation by the customers the amount of power was sold was down thus lowerin the expected profits!

Fuel is not going back down. They now we will pay 4. 00 they will at charge at least that much.

In St Louis, it's 3. 89/gal. At least for the minute... . My biggest concern is that I've seen it go up a dime every two days for the last week. I sure hope it hits a plateau soon. I can't afford 6 dollars a gal by Memorial Day. I've seen my mileage go from 23 mpg to 19 mpg with this new stuff. I really can think of no way to form some sort of effective rebellion. Unfortunately, I am confined to driving my 32 mpg gas-fueled car now. Well, on the bright side, we all might be able to really good deals on these old diesel-powered Rams in a year or so when fuel is $9 a gal and our mileage is cut 30 percent. I know, dumb way to look at it. I'm just sickened by all this... ... .

USA demand is down and other "economies" like CHINEE ECONU-mee are growing because al of our freakin jobs are over there now thanks to TV and wals-mart. Johnny wong and charlie tree were allowed by treasonist Clintons to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom! Remember? The dollar is crashing, so buy precious metals to hedge against hyperinflation. I paid $4. 09 a gallon for ULSD today at texaco in Panama City FL. Ask yourself why it was illegal for ordinary folks to own gold buillion from 1933 till 1971-72? Nixon... WHy is it always okay for the rich to have everything? I garuntee you the rich did not give up their gold for forty years! WAke up AMERICA! Smell the illegals and the extortionist crook/murderers in washington! Okay, I'm better now.

Driving down to Denton Tx from OKC on Saturday for the Bully Dog event and saw $4. 00 on the sign at Loves... ... never thought I'd see that but I never though it would take me $50 in fuel for the round trip.

Weren't there yet yesterday

Made a little trip up to the lake yesterday and saw $3. 999 at one place, most are $3. 899. The way it's been going, wouldn' be surprised to see $4. 109 next week. bg
