The Ugly Truth About Big Oil Companies

Filled up yesterday at $1. 13. 9 per litre/ $5. 18 per imp. gal

the shell down the road from me is 118. 9/liter :( that's just a hair over $4. 50/us gallon

i need to keep borrowing my pop's fuel card and paying him cash. . he gets a $0. 10/liter discount at canadian tire [imperial oil fuel]. . if it goes to $1. 50/liter i think the truck is going to be parked and i am getting a 3 cylinder swift or something...

In Lake City, Fl we did see 2 stations at $4. 09 but we found it just down the road for "ONLY" $3. 84! We don't like it but since we're fulltime RV'ers we'll just have to live with it. Our 1996 Dodge Dually gets pretty darned good mileage pulling our 5th wheel all over the country. Diana

It hasn't hit $4 in Santa Cruz yet... We have a station that only sells bio diesel but they are at $4. 04. They have always been more than reg diesel, they figure people will pay it to try to do they part in not supporting the diaper heads... .

Bio prices

Bio is as much or more than #2 due to supply of bio. If it wasn't demand would outstrip supply in no time. I just was reading last night that the price of bio is expected to fall a bit as poduction has increased over the last few years and is expected to continue to increase. Just what I read. Could be that greed will increase with production. I hope not. Compition will be the only thing to keep petro prices inline.

Full time RV'ers, you are living a dream, mine especially.

My wife and I are leaving today for Rawhide AZ to attend the "Festival of the West". The challenge will be to stay under $4. 00 per gallon if possible.

Well as of yesterday I paid $3. 75. 9 a gallon here in Va.

17 gallons cost me twice as much as 30 gallons cost when I bought truck.

In the past 3 weeks, diesel has went from $3. 29 to $3. 83. I don't understand why Yahoo news headlines made a big deal this morning out of a 9 cent gas increase in the last 2 weeks, and no mention is made of a $. 60/gallon increase in the last month for diesel.

It's almost like they are trying to push the economy into a recession...

If diesel was over 89cents in 1997, it wasnt much over that. I was paying $1/25 to $1. 35 for reg gas at that time (I still have the log book) here in Seattle. In 1997, diesel was still cheaper than gas.

I wonder what the plan is for when it costs $25 for a gal of milk, but you cant get to the store anyway because you just cant buy gas. (Even if you still have a job that you telecommute to because you cant afford the gas)

today $4. 09 US gallon $107. + for just over 26 gallons Cenral California. This is more than Double in 8 years.

Would that be surprising to you -- in an election year?

I think the Dems have been talking the economy down for the past few years and they're finally getting what they've wanted. So far, they haven't been able to talk us into totally losing the war so this is their next best move.

Chuckie and Harry and little Dick and Nancy and the rest are going to milk this situation for all it's worth (and more) once they finally decide who's gonna be their nominee.

The people are nothing more than the pawns in the game.....

Fueled up yesterday and the price was $4. 07.

I used to lover the look on the attendants face when I would walk in, hand him a $100 dollar bill and say "Ill be back for the change".

Now I do the same thing and wait for the pump to shut off.
