jeff, my neighbor just took off some fairly new bridgestones. They were the same size as the OEM Firestones (2000 PSD) because they heated up too much when he hauled his camper. He had one come off the rim when he got a good gust of wind from the side. Granted they were load range D, but they were rated for 3,000lbs and he may have been over that or had a slow leak. But even if that is the case he said all 4 sidewalls were very hot.
He went back to the steeltex, like the OEMs. Bad choice in my book. FWIW, I like my coopers, also load range D, and they don't heat up with my camper on the truck.
I have nothing against bridgestones I have run them on many vehicles.
