Right after the sloppy warranty work by the dealer in Sikeston MiO. I took a hair dryer and plastic body putty spreader and heated the dodge and 4x4 up and scraped them off with the plastic scraper. did a real good job real quick. Then I started advertising our business on the tailgate instead of theirs. . Used mineral spirits to remove the adhesive residue. Paint matched real well. you could play with the letters for a while like the toyota guys do and just take off a few at a time.
then call ** ICEMAN** and get custom graphics to say what you want... ... ... ... . I have the 24 valve CUMMINS and I also have " I LOVE THIS FREIGHT TRAIN" ... ..... borrowed from another fine rammer dude and up on the cab I have split on either side of the brake lite " I'D RATHER BE CUMMIN ------(lite)------THAN STROKIN"
How about the black plastic strip along the bottom of the tailgate? Is it even painted under there? How hard is it to take that off for anyone who has?
RADdodge,,black strip on the gate is held on by 2 sided tape and it's painted under there. my '01. 5 didn't have it but i did take it off on my '94. i used turpentine to remove the glue.
My truck is driftwood. Sparingly used a heat gun and they peeled right off, looks a heck of a lot better without them I think. No difference in the paint at all. The 4 x 4 sticker looked like it was put on by a wino.
