Anyone drive A truck?

Just wondering if any members were gutsy enough to admit they were Logistical Engineers ? And who they drive for? I drive for ECM Transport, headquartered in New Kensington, Pa.

I'm not but I did stay at a Holiday in Express! :-laf My brother drives an International with a Cummins and a sleeper. Has been hauling bulk cement lately, but usually hauls gas and diesel. A while back he was running propane to Plattsburg and to Marthas vineyard. He works for a company called Fort Edward Express

I pull a bullrack 95% of the time. Some grain or fertilizer. Haul seed in the spring.

Not technically a driver at the present, but end up doing some relief dump truckin' for my employer on an emergency basis from time to time.



Used to drive a county highway dept. dump truck, and have hauled my share of logs out of the woods up here.



No shame in driving a truck, it's the minority of idiots out there making the rest look bad.

Not to mention the idiots with big radios and noise maker toys. #@$%! They just do it to **** people off. Then you also have the yahoos that use WAY to much echo, and constantly asking for a radio check, and never making adjustments to correct the situation. Idiots.

I am not a pro driver but wish my office was looking out of the windshield of a Pete, KW, or any other big truck instead of being in a reg. office all day. If it weren't for the fact there would be little very home time, I would consider changing occupations.

I drive my own, a 2004 Western Star. I'm leased on to a company that hauls liquid fertilizer.



Right now I'm pulling their tank. I hope to purchase my own tanker soon and pull their NH3 trailers during season.

my occasional truck I drive... . 2000 Pete 379 Extended Hood, 500 Cummins N14 "Big Red Peckerhead" motor, No air horns on the roof, 3. 36 rears, Super 10 top 2, all LED lights, 7" Straights... Not too shabby. . I snapped these pics with my phone in Vegas at the Gold Coast when we were leaving the NFR heading back to Texas. .

Agreed. I have a Galaxy but keep the roger beeps & echos turned off 99% of the time. Nothing wrong with having a lot of power on tap, but in the hands of an idiot, well... ... LOL

2001 american lafrance with a cummins, Hauls about 1500' of hose and 1000 gallons of water all kinds of redlights. I don;t mind driving but hate dealing with the other idiots in our small city. Give all you guys credit dealing with all of the nuckleheads on the road everyday.

I don't think there is a prettier truck out there than a Pete 379. I haul cows on my days off using a 2001 379 with a 475 h. p Cat 3406. It's a nice place to cover miles in.

There are some companies that have you home most nights and weekends. Just need to look around. I know a guy that drives for Con-Way. He is home every night. With you being the "new" guy, you'd probably be running at night for a while. Get some time in, then they'll probably let go to days. Haven't any idea on what they pay, though.



I hear Walmart pays the drivers really well. From some I've listened too, they stay within 300 mile range of home. Home lots of nights, and almost every weekend.

I drive for Crossett Inc. , a local/regional tank company... I haul crude oil, gas, fuel, motor oils, propane, solvents, wax, asphalt; pretty much anything petroleum.
