Anyone have the CUMMINS parts # list for KDP failure fix (now with pic)?

Like the title says...



I searched and searched... but to no avail... any help? Thanks!!

(Edit: It's for a '97 for what it's worth- oh yeah, and not mine).

The problum may be that there is a varity of things that break , or not , when the pin drops out so a list may not relate to your situation , you have to tear apart to fine out what happened in side .
If your looking for the opp. to prevent , thats a different story , there are a few ways of doing that also , no teardown - just drill & tap [ I would not recomend this method becouse of introducing the metal chips into the timing , oil , pan ect.
The taping method may be best , avalble for TST , kit with vidio .

Nope I'm talking FAILURE... . :{ . Just the common parts, the gears are fine... Timing case/cover, gaskets, orings, seals, etc...

That would work, but he doesn't have the engine plate anymore... It somehow "disappeared. " There's a pretty spot where it used to be...

KDP Strikes Again!!!!!!

If used parts are ok there is a guy posting tons of cummins stuff on ebay. I just bought a front cover cheap. Search ebay find his auctions and drop him a note he may have what you need. BTW he's in AR. Good luck, the biggest don't already happened the rest is easy.

This is in no particular order, should be pretty complete. About a year and a half ago, this rounded out at slightly over $400 worth of stuff.



On the cam bushing, somehow when I ordered it, from the parts manual on QSOL, it was the wrong one. I had to get the number off the old one before I could get it right.

Real simple....

It is a simple list. You need A front seal, A timing cover gasket, And a tab washer. The tab washer goes in the bolt next to the dowel pin and the tab will cover it to keep it in. Will take 1-2 hrs to do. That is the correct fix in my book... . Justin {u can get a tab washer at fastenal}
