I was trolling the internet for tires larger than the 235-85-16 and I found Intergo 255-85-16s.

This could be the ticket. Anyone try these or any other brands this size?

I have been running them for the past 3 years, I got the BFG mud 255-85-16's, and they are a great tire. Low in noise, high traction and great wear. I do run a spacer for some additional clearence in the rear. I am getting ready to purchase some alcoa's for the truck, and the new tires will be even bigger. The BFG's are not worn out, they are probally good for 50,000 miles. I will run them in the winter, and the alcoa's in the summer.

I have run them on my 3500 for 2 years now and have really liked them. They have helped a little in the MPG department but only like . 5-1 at best. So if you are doing it for that its not worth it. The only MAJOR downfall to running this size tire on dually is the fact that you will have a lot of "roll" in the front tires. You have to remember that you will have a lot of sidewall with that size so you always have to be mindful of that when towing or turning tightly. I would say 95% of the time you wont have a problem but it only takes one incident to make you

Just being curious

Hey Jim!

I have plenty of tread left despite my bad habits and I've got almost 30K miles on it. Just curious how the taller tires improved fuel mileage, although 15 mpg ain't bad for acellerating this 10K lb beast. Running empty at 75 I'm nearly at 2500 RPM w/ these 4. 10s. Be nice to be down around 2100.

How about you? You keeping skins on that power house truck? I know between the Ram and the 'Stang you couldn't slap the smile off your face. Well, keep on smokin.

Onestackdram:

I do tow heavy and have 7,500 lbs on the rear axle and GCVW at 26,800 lbs. Might be best to keep the stock size and not worry about handling problems with the taller side walls.

Take care, Ron

Are these E Rated tires? I couldn't find any that were when I was looking.

I think they are E rated. Diedn't show Letter ratiing but the weight ratings are the same as my Michelin 235s.
