I'm planning on swapping in a better torque converter in the (hopefully) near future. Right now I'm torn between the TCI and Hughes units - I'd love to have one from DTT but that just isn't in the budget.

I'm leaning towards the Hughes converter because they're here in Tucson... not to mention a friend can get it at a very good price. ;) Just want to make sure it's worth the money and a reasonable improvment over stock... which shouldn't be too hard to do. :D

You might want to check with Powerwagon (Mark K. ) I don't know if he has it installed yet, but he was getting one last I heard.

I PM'd him and one or two others after coming across a few old threads. I haven't seen any of them on here in quite a while, though... hopefully they're still around.

Holy cr@p... just looked at your sig! Those numbers are friggin' amazing!!!:eek::eek:

I PM'd a couple of Hughes users lately as well. . Haven't heard back.

I'm getting ready to do my rear main seal and the Hughes TC reports are basically the only thing I'm waiting for. . Might as well try a better TC (price within reason) since I'll have the transmission and trasnfer case pulled. I don't have a bad leak just an anoying one. I hate leaky trucks!

My engine is basically stock but I just know a lot of power and ecomony must be lost with my stock TC. . I'm definitely not hydraulically hooking up as well as I think I should. . I'm really interested in performence reports from daily drivers. Temp differences, in town & highway differences etc... . Hopefuly some Hughes users will se this and report... ..... Please... Thanks.
