Did you guys try adjusting/resetting the APPS before replacing it? What did you do with your old ones? I think I might've broken mine but I'm not sure. Mine is reading 4V. I think I plugged it in / unplugged it a few times while the ignition was on. Not sure if that blew it or not.

Mine was obviously more than the apps reset being the issue. I tried it anyway with no improvement. Are you sure you aren't getting . 4v?

CJ, just a question  Did you try resetting the APPS with what voltage you see on pin #23. And then reading the back of the APPS for what voltage should be seen on pin #23, and adjusting the APPS buy turning it a little until you see the voltage on pin #23.

The reason I ask is I just reset my APPS. The reading I was getting at pin #23 was . 460VDC, and the back of the APPS said it was . 568VDC, so I just loosened the APPS and rotated it just a little bit until it read . 568V on pin #23. It takes allot of tries to get it set just right. Worked for me Oo.

Is pin 23 the blue wire? I really don't follow what you're saying. It sounds like you are taking the voltage reading at two different places... I took mine from the plug directly.

I had the high idle even after a new apps, I did the reset but left my batteries unhooked for 24 hours. No more high idle problem.

High idle and no exhaust brake

Well, I have tried resetting the apps and removing the XZT+ and I have the high idle problem. Start the truck and my exhaust brake will work normally for some time, drive to work (about 40 miles) on the highway on cruise control and when I touch the brake to slow down no E-Brake. Come to a stop and idle is just above normal or up to 1000 RPM. THe only cure that I have found so far is shut it off at a stop and restart after 10-20 seconds then normal idle. I have codes 1693 and 0237 which indicate low MAPS voltage but the truck runs fine. Even passed smog test 2 years ago with the same codes.

Anyone have any new suggestions for this problem?
