Its an hy 35. I bought a 35-40 hybrid two weeks ago, put it on and it only made this awfull blowing noise and put out no better performance... . If anything worse. Plus EGTs went up 200 degs across the board. Believe me it was noise, not a good whine or whistle but a blast fernace sound that sounded bad. sent it back and am now waiting on a hx 35 w/40 comp wheel. Ive been told that the ECM does not cut out at a certain boost level but the boost will climb nicely but then hits 32PSI and will not go any farther. The truck runs great and to me and anyone else who rides in it cannot believe this is a 6000# truck. ( I dont have any diesel buddies) But ive read of others in the 40psi range and wonder WTH?

I had an HY35 and went to a HTBG. There is an adjustabe actuator rod on the turbo that allows you to control what psi the wastegate opens at, hence allowing you to build more boost before the gate opens. By doing this it helped the turbo spool a little quicker and the EGT's were actually lower. It is a High Tech Turbo and they said their turbo is most effecient around 40psi... I was only hitting 35-36 before. Works real well!!

Go to www.htturbo.com

It is base of a Schweitzer(sp?)300. Not sure on the compressoer size. . I believe 56 or 58mm. Exhaust housing is 12cm. The website explains it much better then I do. Some say it is similar to a BD Super B, but better.
