just considering the possibility that they were showing you your own badge after a fueling stop or something... ... . but then i reread your post to learn you were refering to a hat.

i don't know; it just struck me as funny and postable... . my apologies

Saw a white 2nd Gen with Washington plates on I-10 WB just before the I-17

split in Phoenix on Wednesday evening around 5:30 pm.

I was in a Chevy Rental truck, and I couldn't catch up to ya in traffic to wave hello. - Jeff

Spotted a tricked out New Beetle , blue in color,Minnesota plates I believe, late afternoon, early evening Sunday 5/21, flying eastbound down I-40 at a high rate of speed. Must be members cuz' the cute passenger flashed me a TDR cap as they went by. Was hoping for something else, but... . I was in the big silver 3rd gen dually!! Who was it?

That would be me, and the cute passenger was my wife. We were living in Winslow and on our way home from Williams. I saw your TDR sticker and had her hold the hat out the window. Not too often one sees another member in that area.

Way cool Beetle, at that rate of speed you guys must've been home when, the following day? :-laf Was a TDI car, correct? Was hoping to catch up with you somewhere up the road... but. I was on my way to Oklahoma to fetch another stack of car trailers, was back home Tuesday at noon !!

TDI, no. It's a 1. 8 turbo. FAR from stock. We pulled into the Flyin J in Winslow thinking you would stop for fuel. Maybe next time. Got pics of car in my readers rigs.

Especially when I just left Vegas with 135+ gallons on board !! :-laf Man, that Beetle is definitely wild, maybe catch up with you two another day !

Today in Mesa on Val Vista and Southern I saw a brown 2nd gen with a cummins sticker across the windshield and a TDR sticker on the quadcab window. I blew a little smoke for him as I passed thru the intersection.

I saw a grey colored 2500 2 gen with Ca plates "Htrd diesel"??? Nice looking truck n/b on 59th ave,Phoenix, w/b I-10. I was in 3500 dually behind him, but could never catch up.

I guess I should check here more often. This truck in mention is indeed my truck. Close on the plate, it's actually "HTRD RAM". I live in Buckeye since Feb '06.

Alternative fuels in Phoenix area

Anyone run across any biodiesel vendors in the Phoenix area that they would recommend? I have been fueling up at Arizona Petroleum in Tucson, but just relocated to the Phoenix area a few months ago. I would love to find a reliable vendor for B99. Look forward to seeing some other TDR members cruising around PHX.

I think Western States Petro. is the only vendor in Phx area. Have not been there as it is a little out of my travel area.

Western States - 15TH Ave and Grant. . 3. 26 for B99

I've been buying B-99 @ Western States Petroleum, also. I use it as a fuel/lubrication additive when I get a load of ULSD. Mix to a 2% consistency for optimal efficiency (lubricity), 1/2 gal. B-99 to 25 gals. of diesel fuel.

On the west side of town, Quick Trip Truck Stop on the SE corner of I-10 & 51st Ave. seems to have good prices & LSD fuel. Often cheaper than the Flying J. The "J" has both LSD & ULSD.

Welcome to Phoenix. I wonder if you will miss Tucson?

AZcattle where is your ranch??:)

Hey Whiskey. I guess I should check in once in a while. Only about two months behind on this discussion. We are east of town. When you drive to Madera Canyon. You go right through the middle of it. You are the blue dually on Abrego right? House for sale?

We buy our B99 bulk at AZ petroleum on Cherry. Not very cheap. Have a very hard time letting us buy that much bio because they have such a demand in Tucson. Last load we had to blend it to get a full load. Our business has been all bio for 3 years now. Awesome stuff.
