Anyone see the ProStreet and Superstock pulling class today on ESPN2?

I liked the tractor with the twin turbo diesel engine in front of two big block hemis. It was cool to see the owner of lucas oils too running a semi down the track.

IIRC, the tractor with the TT diesel and the Big Blcoks is the Texas Bullwhip. The engine in front is a 466 that runs off of alcohol.

RFDTV has been showing tractor pulls once a week, too. Most recent one was at a farm (Strawberry? can't remember) and they also showed diesel pickup pulling... . and I believe one of the Dodges sounded like a member here. Those tractors are baaaad, but the most impressive tractors i've seen pull were STEAM!

Explain to me why there are some tractors that run the dt466 blocks and then drill them out for sparkplugs to run on alcohol. They still get wooped by the str8 #2 tractors with all the fabrication and machine work that is involved. I thought it had something to do with a bigger c. i. motor allowed compared to the diesel.

There was a tractor here in CA that pulled at Stockton and it was a turbine engine. Talk about a whistle . . .

05MX-Where are you getting this info... . Diesel tractors aren't even in the same league as Alky burners. How many diesels do see in the unlimited super class? Why do you think alot of people seperate them? Not to mention an alky tractor is alot cheaper to build.
