Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ATS intake/water/meth injectors?

I installed my stage 3 in the intake and the nozzels were a 1/4 inch recessed. The material on the intake is extra thick, could this cause a problem? I have since put the stock one back on. I'll see tomorrow if it make a performance difference. Thank for the input in advance.

I had to make my snow injectors flush or they would hit the bore with my cfm intake. They spray a very flat pattern, hook it up and hard wire it to check if its a issue with the intake in your hand.
