LSMISTH,

You want to hammer some for posting a fact.

The question was asked by me@ 04-05-2002- 8:45pm the first time.

The second time was 04-06-2002 8:53pm!

You do the math.

NO I'm not out to flame ATS, but I would like some answers.

A simple no that is not one of our's OR,yes it is and this is what had happend.

And no I don't work fo DTT or any other.

6 posts in 1 hour 10 minutes time singing the same tune. I never said it was all one person. I am pointing out that some courtesy shown to the vendors and each other would go a long ways to making these threads productive. These threads hit the point that there is so much ranting that it is hard to weed through it for any content of use. I think we should ask questions, just do it in a responsible manner. Repetition and negativity are not needed and are counterproductive.

It gets very easy to see why more and more vendors consider these forums a shark pool and won't waste their time with them.

I understand your point... . I hope it didnt sound like I was flameing at you... cause that was not my intent. I just didnt want ppl to think we were expecting answers within 10 minutes.

I appolegize if my posts are taken the wrong way... . tone and body language cant be typed.

It has been a very busy week on the forum. Let's see if I can clear some issues up. First, the torque converter pictures that Stephan Kondolay has provided appears to be one of the very early design units, a few of these early designs were sold. While not pretty, the early units function perfectly well and outperformed our single disc converter. All TripleLok™ torque converters carry our 36 month warranty, including the early designs. We have never seen a failure with our triple disc lockup clutch design, so it is doubtful that the unit Stephan has pictures of was removed because of failure. If it had failed, we would have expected to have been contacted by the customer and would have promptly honored their warranty. More likely, the unit was removed to learn the secrets of our TripleLok™ design. Unfortunately, the photos that Stephan posted is NOT our current design. Our patent attorney has given us the green light to provide detailed photos and information about our current design and how it works on our website beginning May 1st. We have invested a lot of money and time developing the current generation of TripleLok™ and will not be able to share any more information until we feel our design is adequately protected.

Secondly, this last week we have spent too much time responding to issues on the TDR forum and unfortunately, some of our customers have paid the price. At ATS, our customers come first and it is unacceptable for us to neglect them in order to respond to TDR posts. Therefore, for the time being, we will no longer be posting responses on TDR forums. We have provided extensive information on torque converters and the benefits of our clutch pack design on our website www.atsdieselperformance.com If you still have a question that isn't addressed to your satisfaction, please feel free to call us directly at 303-431-7973.

This was posted today on the Advertising vs Reallity thread.

I would guess

that Stefan would be giving ATS time to answer first.

But They may be too busy.

But then again the Lawyers may have something to say

My Upgrades were installed on 4/20/01 and ever since that time every day and every mile and every power mod it's been :D :D :D :D :D

And I look forward to the next :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks for askin

I am a true believer of Bill Kondolays upgraded transmission. In my opinion it is second to none even after the triple disk.

I just want the ATS guys to answer the question if the thing is assembled with a stick welder or something without sheilding gas.

The splatters seems to point to a flux core welder or worse, a stick.

I seriously doubt that telling us how the thing is assembled is gonna ruin a trade secret.

If I did that the others who are curious of the construction would not be enlightened. Keeping such info to myself woyuld not be a learning experience for all. Ya know, the learning experience we are here to have?

If I called them and reported back the findings someone would be pretentious enough to say I was slamming ATS, if it turns out the thing is welded together. If ATS were to answer ( I doubt it at this point) they could 'splain it' to us and the reason behind it. IMO, splatters like the ones I saw in the picture are somewhat scary to be inside a transmission component.

Don~

This is an uphill battle. If you were someone at ats, would you want to play in this muck? I don't think so. They come offering different stuff, and we drive 'em off because different=bad.

Are you guys paying attention? Mark Kendrick posted this pic...

THIS is the part that's in the later versions of the Triple-Lok.

No welding... Billet steel.

So gives a rip about the welds? I'm sure those were experiemental parts. You know, sometimes even the GOOD welding practices have bad outcomes. It's just ALL speculation on our part... and thanks to a few people, we can't get direct answers at all.
