July Gateway Chapter and GODA summer BBQ

MN TDR July 10th

dsl, come on over, we'll be kicking things off on Friday afternoon. Come whenever you like, I think Kev and I will have the grillables ready around 7 pm ish. I've gotta run, but later I'll pm you some directions. Later, Tim

I sure hope my new Rickson 19. 5's will be here befor Friday morning, been waiting for a month now

I was wondering if someone would be interested in my OEM alloy wheels and tires???I could bring them with if interest is there. PM me if interested... ... ... ... . dont want to plug up the thread with side talk.

Cheers, Kevin

Don't worry Kev, they make a powdered mix to add to yer coffee if ya get plugged up. If your new rims show up and you don't have time to get them on, bring them down we can find a tire shop to put them on for ya.

Well on a sad note I had to cancel the dyno shop due to cost. They wanted $140 per hour plus overtime since they aren't normally open on Saturdays I hope you don't mind, but I bagged the whole thing. I thought that price was more than anyone would want to spend. He did tell me you can call and make an appointment if you want to pay that price. PM me if you want the number.

This weekend I painted my deck and I'm getting the garage in order for some bombing this weekend. I got gauges, and some bombs to put on mine. I'll take a look at what tools I need, I might need somebody to bring something along.

I reserved us a porta privy (at my cost, the wife doesn't want 50 stinky brautholes in the house) I mowed a bunch of grass, we can mow more if needed. I've got a small rock out cropping on the back lot where I'll gather rocks for a fire pit. I've got plenty of fire wood as well. I also borrowed a couple tables and chairs from a friend. A reminder to bring a lawn chair per butt to sit on around the fire.

What else do we need? Any special food requests?

Laramie, Wyomingers. .

well, i'm going to be meeting up with some people at 8:00 at the Petro in Laramie (if anybody else wants to stop by). we'll be down around 9ish or so on Saturday. i'll get some snacks 'n' stuff to bring down. i'm not sure how many people will go (without a dyno), but oh well... it'll be fun.

c yas there,

Tom

Tools request!

Being a Diesel Mechanic I have a good selection of tools, so if there are any special requests let me know by Thursday before 2pm I will see what I can dig up.

I just found out that I will have to go to Red Lodge MT to get my truck on Thurs and then drive to Cheyenne on Friday:eek: Man I will be tired, I sure hope ya'll will have a cold one waiting or me when I get there.

See ya'll FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!Oo.

Just a note to any who will be traveling between Shoshoni and Casper that there is road construction and the lines have been up to 1 mile long and the wait is averaging 30 minutes and sometimes more, the road construction is very rough too  I will be taking an alternative route to Rawlins and then to Cheyenne.

Cheers, Kevin

Marshall, I just PM'd ya. We'll have plenty of cold ones here when you pull in.

I'm going to make a little request, does anybody coming have any of that grey spray paint they used to sell at the dealer that matched our lighter grey dash? I'd like to paint the pod before I put it in, but if not, I'll just get something close at Checker. The dealer here says they don't stock that anymore.

TPC -

I have a can of the grey paint and I'll bring it friday - it's never even been used. Time to get those gages in.

Well, this is related to Marshall's post... . Since Marshall is getting his truck from his brother, I have to take mine to Red Lodge so he can pull the trailer. Looks like I will miss the get together. Marshall is complaining about his little drive!!! HA!!! I have to be back in TX by Monday nite.

Y'all have a great time!!!!

Interstate 80 ?

Is I-80 under construction East of Cheyenne?Seems like a few months ago I heard about a bridge that was damaged in Nebraska on the national news.

Thanks Tim

P. S. Please reply quickly. Its almost time to travel.

Well, (so far), it looks like me and Matt (Iron Horse on DTR) will be going Friday night too. MDLowry says that he can make it friday night too so we'll ask him. we should be there before 6:00. any food items needed?

Tom

Is there any construction on I-80? Wyoming has two seasons winter and construction. Not sure what's east of Cheyenne, but I'm sure they wrangled up some cones to throw out there for something.

As far as food, if there is something you'd like to bring, be my guest. Whitmore should be here around mid-day or so and we're going to hit Sam's club and get a bunch of food. He mentioned also getting a keg of beer, but if there's something special you like to drink, bring that too!

i'll bring some sodas and some burgers n stuff (Matt has a bunch of extras that he wont eat i guess).

btw, tim, how much do you want your truck to smoke- i know a thing or to?;) :D

Tom

I'm mostly looking for more power. I have a #11 plate, 3k gsk and AFC spring kit sitting on my bench now. I pull horses mostly with it and I don't want to give them "the black lung". :D At the same time, my biggest beef is the 3rd to 4th spread when climbing with a load and being able to hold better on the hill. Although, smoking the occasional ricer would be nice too!

The weekend rule is BYOB... ... ... ... ... ... ..... Bring Your Own Broad

We will manage on the beer some how

Cheers, Kevin

98rammer - I'm planning on heading over Friday night too. Let's meet somewhere before we head out. I haven't been able to get a hold of Mdlowry yet, but it sounds like at least 4-5 from Laramie Friday night. What about you Lynn?

later

Tim, I have a can of gray spray paint I used for my gauge pod. It is a little lighter than the gray of my '02, I can bring it.
