About one month after the last transmission service it would not engage after sitting for an hour or more. I would have to run the motor for 5 seconds at relatively high rpm's to get it to engage. I already tried the reset of the throttle position setting with no luck. Any ideas? DW

What service did they do?

Also, are you saying that it is slow to go into gear? Example, put it in drive and the wait is how many seconds?

Wasn't there an issue with T/C anti drain back valves hung open on 01's and 2's??? I swear I can remember something about this. Maybee that was for line replacement when installing a guage. Oh man I gotta search now.

Service

Service was complete fluid change and filter replacement. At last oil change fluid in transmission was one quart low. I do have the double deep pan on, this should'nt matter. When left over night it doesn't do this. Takes about 5 seconds to engage, but will not if you only idle it. When the pan was off the tech replaced a faulty valve in the DTT valve body that was causing a shift problem. Had a tiny scratch that Stefan said was from dirty fluid being flushed through the transmission. Another quirk is that after a full throttle run it doesn't want to shift from 2nd to third. You have to hold the rpms up to get it to shift and then it hits hard. DW

Again today

This morning at startup the truck went into gear with no problem, but after sitting on the job for 2 hours it wouldn't move so I ran the rpms up at 5 seconds later it slams into gear. Any ideas?
