Automatic/Fuel shut down relay

I have a 1992 Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins. My wait to start light/ pre heat system has been acting up off and on. I have figured out that if I remove the automatic shut down relay the problem is fixed. I replaced the relay with a new one and same issue. It seems there is an issue with the harness?

Do I need to fix this issue or just leave the relay out and cover the harness pin area?

I can't answer your ? but since I just saw this I might suggest posting it in the First Generation forum rather than here in the classifieds. I may be able to help w/an ASD wiring diagram later if you need it.
