Autometer comes through

My Autometer electrical fuel pressure gauge sending unit developed a leak. I e-mailed Autometer asking about repairability. Got a one line reply; they will be mailing me a new sending unit.

Wierd thing was that I first found the leak when I noticed diesel fuel on the driverside floor mat. Really had me puzzeled till I foud that the leak was right above a plastic tube I ran through the firewall for wiring. The fuel found the tube and followed it right into the cab.

Same thing happened to me, merryman, TWICE ! The sending unit I have now has a brass case, unlike the other two old plastic ones that failed, and appears to be stronger. It has lasted 3 months now. Apparently AutoMeter will take care of us without saying too much about it.

I guess they wish to avoid issues. That's fine, at least they are showing they are a stand-up company, and taking care of us.

One for Autometer

I just received my replacement sending unit (fp) in the mail today. I had called a couple days ago because mine was leaking also. The reply was "what is your mailing address, we'll get one right out no charge"



Can't beat that. Way to go Autometer!
