What has been everyone's experience with an auxiliary fuel tank? I am considering a tank around 30-40 gallons. Any comments would be appreciated. I have an '01 Quad 2x2 sb.

Thanks Bill

I think you'll love it. Get a good one. I couldn't do without mine. I traded trucks last year on vacation. The dealer unhooked it from the 98 but could not hook it up in the 01. I sure did miss it till I got home and had it hooked up.

I am having one built to fit under my toolbox in the back, this will be aprox 50 gals and will also hold toolbox up so I can load it well,it will have a aluminm checker false front on it for looks ,this method was half price verses going all aluminm ,it is going to be 10 guage steel and I will put the fill neck inside my tool box, I am having a half inch coupling on the bottom corner so I can put a spin on filter under the truck, then I will run stainless tubing to the front under the cab so I can put a manual valve (handle sticking into cab floor) then I plan on running tubing back to my vapor line that drops into tank. this is my plan any how.
My friend and fellow vol fireman is building it,he builds fire truck bodies and the likes, does quality work, I cant hardly wait #ad

The extra capacity is nice, allows you to kinda look around a little before you have to re-fuel. The only downside for me is , now I don't have room for my tool box in the front of the bed. bg
