problem: no backup lights (at all)

Had transmission shop replace the solenoid pack inside the transmission and now have backup lights if you do not start the vehicle. Once the engine is running the lights will last one shift cycle into and out of reverse and then the fuse will blow. The fact that the lights work without starting the car, with multiple shift cycles, validates that the tail light wiring is ok.

I just need to know what else to look at that could be causing this problem.

Thanks for the assistance,
David

transmission shop called this morning. Second Solenoid pack and mounting plate fixed the problem.

Thanks for the looks..
