Bad Influence !!! GRIN
Holy Cow!!!!!
Oo.
I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have gone this far with the truck, but you guys have been a bad influence and I couldn't help myself. :-laf
I got it on the road just in time for a 500 mile RT and I had NO idea how much fun this was going to be to drive! I can hit 32 PSI briefly (1200 EGT) up a hill with the valet switch off! (Briefly, because > 85 is frowned on by the hiway patrol
)
Tires break traction if I hit it too hard, catch and then cut loose again when the turbo sings. Oo. This is too much fun... .
and I thought my teenager was bad.
All this and 19. 5 combined MPG in a one ton 4x4!!
Questions. .
I have not tuned it yet, is this boost around normal for POD's, mild turbo (58mm) with stock air intake, PDR cam, and oversized exhaust? I also don't see much difference with the valet switch on or off. Should I back off the fuel screw a touch? It does leave a small cloud with not too much throttle. Idle haze is noticable, but not too bad when warmed up. Does that haze get better or worse if I advance the pump a little? I have not changed timing at all.
Thanks for the ideas and for corrupting me. :-laf
