where can I find a new balancing ring that goes on the driveshaft?mine is starting to come apart, just like the harmonic balancer on the front of the engine. could it be done away with and have the D/S re-balanced?I beleive that I beleive that I am getting some vibration in the area, noticed it when I put transmission back in. Also does the D/S have to be put back just as it came out,as far as clocking?

If your driveshaft is one piece no timing. If it is two piece just make sure all the U-Joints are lined up the same. As for the balancer your going to have to take the driveshaft to a shop and have it rebalanced without it or they'll put a new one on. Which ever way you want it.

When I had my driveline modified they did away with the ring. I am careful to assemble the two sections as they came apart with a chalk line. Smooth operation, no vibrations at all.

I agree with Smitty. Don't worry about the ring. Dodge wants a fortune for those yokes. Blumenthals sells a yoke for a fraction of the cost that worked for me for about 400,000 miles before I installed the G56. I'm sure any driveline shop in your area could supply one.
