Looking for a general/ball park cost for a shop to replace an outer rear axle seal on a 2001 Ram 2500. Mine had a slight weep for about a month and just the past couple of days has gotten worse (gear lube streaks on tire after parking for a while). Normally I could and would do something like this on my own but I have time constraints and need my truck for a steelhead trip next week.

Anyone have a general idea? I have a shop that I have worked with on work vehicles so I may get a little break from them but looking for worse case cost, which I know is hard to do on an internet forum, lol

Thanks in advance,
J-

If it's Just a seal and nothing else I would say 200 .00 maybe a little less maybe a little More depend's on what they find ,The leaking seal may have soaked your brake shoe's so they will have to replace them also .
